Giggle Tree Events LLC Policies
Booking an event: All you need to do to book an event with Giggle Tree Events is to pay a $75 non-refundable deposit to secure your desired date. Final payment for your event will be due 7 days prior to your event. If we are unable to process payment, we reserve the right to cancel your event. There is a $25 returned check fee.
Travel Fee: A travel/fuel fee surcharge may apply to locations that are outside of our service area (30 miles in any direction from Montose, Colorado).
Minimum or Maximum Attendance: Our parties are designed and priced for 8 children including the birthday child. You will be charged for that minimum even if less than eight children attend the event. If you have more than eight children at your event, you will be charged $20 for each additional child. The maximum amount of children is twelve. In some special cases more than twelve children can be added. If you have children show up to your event that are not on the final headcount, we will do our best to include them in the event but cannot guarantee they will receive favors, cakes or costumes. A final headcount is required one week prior to the event along with each child’s first name.
Party Time: Our Giggle Tree Party Event packages are 2 hours in duration. We will arrive approximately 2 hours prior to the event scheduled time to set up and will require one hour breakdown time after the event. Don’t worry, we will do all of the breakdown and clean up. All Giggle Tree Events start and end ON TIME,- sorry no exceptions. Breakdown of the event will begin two hours past the start time of your event, please communicate this with the parents. If you wish to continue the party after our service is complete, we request that you move your guests to a separate area while we break down. In the event that we are not able to break down your event on time you will be charged a fee of $75 per hour.
Set up: Set up for your event happens quickly. We have much to do in a short window of time. For this reason we request that you keep children and other family members, pets and guests away form the set up area. Time spent interacting with your children and guests takes away form our ability to stay on schedule and make your event everything it should be, as well as taking the mystery out of the “transformation” of your party space. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Event Execution: Each Giggle Tree Event is unique. Exact décor, party favors and costumes are subject to change slightly based on product availability. We do a lot of repeat and referral business and we update our event designs frequently to keep them fresh and unique. We will always present an event that fits your theme even if exact details vary slightly from things that are depicted on our website. Any major changes will be communicated if necessary in advance. If there is something you have seen on our website that you specifically desire for your event, please ask. We may be able to accommodate you.
Food and Beverage: We will provide custom themed cupcakes or mini tiered cakes and lemonade for your event. If you are interested in having us organize a custom dessert/candy station for your event please let us know. If you would like to provide your guests lunch, brunch or snacks we suggest finger foods such as tea sandwiches or fruits. We will be happy to help you execute presentation of your refreshments. We ask that tomato based on entrees such as pastas, or greasy or messy foods not be served while the children are in costumes. We do suggest if you are going to have adults at the party that you can have a separate table of snacks for them as our food and drink is intended for your child and their guests included in the package.
Event Location Requirements: If you choose to hold your event in your home we request a cleared out and non cluttered area in your home at least 12×12 in which to set up. We do not move furniture and request that the area be cleared out prior to our arrival. You may host your event outdoors, however our canopy tent is required in these instances. The temperature must not exceed 90 degrees outside at the time of set up. The area should be flat and dry. We will not set up on wet grass or mud. We recommend not watering your lawn the day before or the day of the event. If you event is planned for the evening we require adequate lighting for the event.
Rain Policy: We will not provide refunds due to rain. If you choose to hold your event outside, you must have an alternate rain plan. We will not set up an event in the rain or if there are any signs of rain. There are no exceptions to this policy. We would be happy to try to reschedule your event for another time if there is not another acceptable location to move event indoors.
Other Locations: We are happy to execute your event at the location of your choosing. However in the event that you choose a hotel, clubhouse, or public local, please be advised that you are responsible for all fees, permits, rentals, etc that may be required to execute your event. We do not bring tables and chairs into hotels and to some public locations therefore table and chair rental may need to be arranged. This is determined on a case by case basis. Additionally, we will bill you for any gratuities to bellmen, parking expenses that we incur in the course of executing your event.
Liability: We strictly provide decorations and entertainment. We are NOT caretakers/babysitters. Please be aware that children, under the age of 3 especially need to be supervised by someone other than Giggle Tree Events. We will treat your home with the utmost respect and care. However, we cannot be held responsible for accidental damage caused by a guest. We suggest that you remove any clutter from spaces in the room you desire to have event in. Remove any precious belongings from the event room also.
Cancellations and Refunds: If you must cancel your party for any reason, the following refund policy applies: Your deposits are non-refundable, however if you need to reschedule, we will gladly offer and alternative date for your consideration and apply your deposit to that future date. If it is a last minute cancellation you may be charged for the cost of the cakes.
Photography: Giggle Tree LLC reserves the right to use photographs taken at your event in any and all promotional media, whether now known or hereafter existing, controlled by Giggle Tree LLC, in perpetuity, and for the other use by Giggle Tree LLC. As a host of a Giggle Tree Event, you agree that you will make no monetary or other claim against Giggle Tree LLC for the use of any photographs taken of your child or children, your home and your guests.
Disclaimer: We do not offer characters from television. We only have professional theatrical costumes. It is not our intention to violate any copyright laws. The characters that we offer are not name brand copyrighted characters and we make no attempt to market them as such. We will only accept booking from individuals who are aware that we DO NOT represent any licensed birthday party character.
